WELFARE

INCLUSIVITY & SAFE SPACE

Index has a zero tolerance policy towards any acts of homophobia, racism, transphobia, misogyny or any other forms of discrimination. We hope to create a community of people that are fun-loving, responsible, respectful and compassionate to others and the environment around them.

If you yourself are made uncomfortable by anyone, or if you see someone else who looks like they might be in trouble, please find a member of staff immediately. It is our goal that we collectively create a safe space for everyone to express themselves free of judgement or harassment.

NO PHONES & NO CAMERAS

We want everyone to be present in the experience and that’s why we have implemented a ‘No Phones & No Camera’s policy at Index. We want you to be able to lose yourself in the moment and not care who’s watching.

TAKE CARE OF YOURSELF & OTHERS

It is important to take care of yourself and your friends on any night out. If at any stage inside the venue you see somebody who looks like they’re ill or in trouble, check on them. If they need further attention please get a medic or a member of staff. If you yourself are feeling unwell, please go to the medical area.

MEDICS ARE YOUR MATES

At any event, the medics are your mates. Medics are free of judgment so please don’t be afraid to drop into them. If you’re feeling bad, go to our onsite medic or talk to a member of staff. Medics only want to help you, not get you in trouble so you should take note of where the medic is stationed in the venue, just in case you need one at some stage. If you can not find a medic please talk to another member of staff.

The best thing we can recommend is to avoid drug use entirely, but if you are going to use drugs, here is some essential information. Note: We also feel that this information applies to alcohol as well. Please visit: https://www.drugs.ie/Afterlockdown for more information about staying safe.

START LOW, GO SLOW

Ireland is known across the globe as a nation of partiers. As a result, every artist in the world wants to play here. However we also sometimes have a tendency to push ourselves a little too far. Many of the negative side effects associated with taking illegal drugs stem from taking too much too quickly. If you take too much too quickly, you might not even remember the night! Remember: Play it safe, it’s not a race.

LEAVE THE MIXING TO THE DJS

Mixing drugs is much more dangerous than many people realise, and some combinations are worse than others. For example, some drugs increase the heart rate, while others decrease it. Some alter reality and some intensify it. Think of it as a Christmas cracker, pulling in opposite directions; It’s bound to crack eventually.

SPIKING

There's been an increase in drinks spiking in Ireland and the UK since the pandemic. We will be carrying out extra thorough security checks on the door to take every precaution to protect everyone who attends Index. If you see someone acting suspiciously please alert a member of staff.

#FORTHEMUSIC
